Building silicone sealant

EVO-STIK Building Silicone Sealant is a one part, low modulus, neutral cure sealant. It has excellent resistance to movement, natural weathering and UV light, and is suitable for sealing expansion joints in concrete structures, as well as movement joints between both lightweight and heavyweight cladding panels. It can also be used to seal profiled sheeting, or aluminium, hardwood and uPVC window and door frames.

FAQs

How do I remove excess sealant or adhesive?

If the sealant or adhesive is uncured, carefully remove the bulk using a soft scraper. Any remaining residue can be removed using EVO-STIK Grip Filth Wipes. If the product has cured, carefully cut away the excess with a sharp knife. Do not use solvents to remove sealant or adhesive from skin. Use soap and water instead.

How long does Building Silicone Sealant take to dry?

EVO-STIK Building Silicone Sealant forms a skin in approximately 10 to 20 minutes, depending on bead width, temperature and humidity. It cures at a rate of around 2 to 3mm per 24 hours.
