Can I use GRIPFILL™ Solvent-Free on mirrors?
No. We do not recommend using EVO-STIK GRIPFILL™ Solvent-Free to bond mirrors, as it may cause an adverse reaction with the mirror backing.
Can I use Sticks Like Sh*t Turbo on wet surfaces?
Yes. EVO-STIK Sticks Like Sh*t Turbo will adhere to wet surfaces, but it will not perform as effectively if the surface is saturated or running with water.
Can I use GRIPFILL™ Solvent-Free as a filler?
No. EVO-STIK GRIPFILL™ Solvent-Free is an adhesive with some gap-filling properties, but it is not designed to be used as a filler. When used in thick filling applications, it may crack as it dries due to shrinkage.
How do I remove excess sealant or adhesive?
If the sealant or adhesive is uncured, carefully remove the bulk using a soft scraper. Any remaining residue can be removed using EVO-STIK Grip Filth Wipes. If the product has cured, carefully cut away the excess with a sharp knife. Do not use solvents to remove sealant or adhesive from skin. Use soap and water instead.
How do I apply Sticks Like Sh*t Adhesive?
Apply parallel beads of EVO-STIK Sticks Like Sh*t Adhesive to one of the surfaces being bonded. Beads approximately 5mm in diameter are generally suitable, although for close-fitting surfaces the bead size can be reduced to 3mm.
How long does GRIPFILL™ take to dry?
A 6mm bead of EVO-STIK GRIPFILL™ will typically reach maximum strength within 24 hours at 20°C. As GRIPFILL™ cures through solvent evaporation, drying times will vary depending on the bead thickness, ambient temperature and the surfaces being bonded.
How long does Sticks Like Sh*t adhesive take to dry?
EVO-STIK Sticks Like Sh*t adhesive is touch dry after 30 to 40 minutes and fully cured after 24 hours, depending on the bead size and the substrates being bonded.
How do I apply GRIPFILL™?
For best results, apply EVO-STIK GRIPFILL™ in a 6mm zig-zag bead along the length of the surface to be bonded. When bonding two impervious surfaces, apply the adhesive, press the surfaces firmly together, then separate them immediately to ensure good adhesive transfer. Wait approximately 10 seconds before bringing the surfaces back together and bonding permanently.
How do I prepare porous surfaces for GRIPFILL™ XTRA?
Porous surfaces, such as plaster and fibre cement board, should be primed with Bostik PVA diluted 1:5 with clean water and allowed to dry thoroughly before applying EVO-STIK GRIPFILL™ XTRA.
How should I store Sticks Like Sh*t?
EVO-STIK Sticks Like Sh*t adhesive can be stored for up to 18 months from the date of manufacture when kept in its original, unopened packaging in dry conditions. Store between +5°C and +25°C and protect from direct sunlight.
What is the difference between GRIPFILL™ XTRA and GRIPFILL™?
EVO-STIK GRIPFILL™ XTRA offers all the benefits of EVO-STIK GRIPFILL™, but has been specially formulated to minimise slippage and provide a stronger bond over time. Its instant grab helps bond a wide range of materials without the need for pinning in many applications.
What is the service temperature range of Sticks Like Sh*t Turbo?
EVO-STIK Sticks Like Sh*t Turbo is resistant to temperatures from -40°C up to 100°C.
